Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, was received yesterday on his arrival at the Shannon College of Hotel Management by its Director by Mr. Philippe J. Smyth.

Minister St.Ange was being accompanied on this visit by Mrs. Elsia Grandcourt, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, and Mr. Flavien Joubert, the Principal of the Seychelles Tourism Academy. The aim of this visit by the Seychellois delegation was to discuss with the Directors and Lecturers of the Shannon College of Hotel Management the existing cooperation that exists today between the Seychelles Tourism Academy and the Shannon College of Ireland.

The Seychelles Tourism Academy has 14 Hospitality Management students undergoing their Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management in Ireland and 4 other private Seychellois students are also at the same college following the same diploma. This visit gave the opportunity for Minister St.Ange and his delegation to meet all the Seychellois after his discussion with the College management.

The meeting between the Seychelles delegation at the Shannon College of Hotel Management was followed by a lunch at the College Restaurant with the College Director and his senior management, and with the Seychelles Minister, the Tourism Board CEO, and the Principal of the Seychelles Tourism Academy, with all the Seychellois students presently at Shannon College in Ireland.
